Rockstar is a musical romantic drama. The movie revolves around a college student Janardhan ‘Jordan’ Jakhar (Ranbir Kapoor), who desperately seeks the music inside him. His friends inform him that one thing common among all the artists is life-changing heartbreak. Thus, Janardhan decides to woo Heer Kaul (Nargis Fakhri), the most beautiful girl of his college, to get him heartbroken. The two develop a good friendship over time but are separated when Heer marries another man. This leaves Janardhan heartbroken. The heartbreak helps him become fulfill his goal and Janardhan changes his name to Jordan. However, the loneliness in his life leads him to self-destruction.
