Saaransh is a family drama revolving around Pradhan’s (Anupam Kher) family, a retired school teacher, who lives with his wife, Parvati (Rohini Hattangadi). The two lose the only bread earner of their family, their son Ajay in an accident a few months ago. With no source of income, the two decide to rent a room in their house to a struggling actress, Sujata, who is in love with Vilas, the son of a powerful politician. Unable to take the pain of their son’s death anymore, the couple decide to suicide, but change their mind when they learn that Sujata is pregnant. Sujata faces rejection from Vilas, and it is then the couple decide to step up and help the girl. Will the two succeed in helping Sujata get justice?
