Sam Bahadur is a biopic drama based on the life and times of India's first Field Marshal S.H.F.J Manekshaw who was also known as Sam Bahadur (Vicky Kaushal). The story narrates his life when he joined the Indian Army as a young cadet and went on to become the Chief of the Army Staff during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. His active military career which spanned four decades and five wars, beginning with service in World War II and his ideology clashes with the then political leaders.
