Shamitabh is a satirical drama. It revolves around Danish (Dhanush), a mute man, who wants to become a Bollywood actor. However, he gets rejected by the directors because he cannot speak. He encounters Akshara Pandey (Akshara Haasan), an assistant director who is amazed at his acting and wants to help him. Akshara informs him about the new technology where a chip is fitted inside the patient’s larynx which helps them to speak via borrowed voice. After the operation, Danish must find someone who could speak for him every time. One day, he comes across an old drunkard, Amitabh Sinha (Amitabh Bachchan), who agrees to speak for him, and Danish changes his name to Shamitabh to give credit to him. With his talent and Amitabh’s voice, Danish becomes an overnight superstar.
