Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a romantic comedy-drama. It is a sequel to the 2011 film Tanu Weds Manu. The movie revolves around a London-based married couple Tanu Sharma (Kangana Ranaut) and Manoj ‘Manu’ Sharma (R. Madhavan). After 4 years, their marriage is falling apart and the two are unhappy with their married life. Tanu deserts Manu and leaves for her hometown Kanpur, India. Manu returns to Delhi with his friend where he encounters Kusum (also played by Kangana Ranaut), who is a look-alike of his wife. Manu starts dating Kusum. Tanu learns about the relationship and grows jealous of it. Soon enough, Tanu and Manu realize that they still love each other.
