The Body is a suspense thriller and the official remake of The Body (2012), a Spanish thriller, directed by Oriol Paulo. The plot revolves around a young couple where Maya (Sobhita Dhulipala), a successful businesswoman who is the director of a Laboratory and lives with her husband Puri (Emraan Hashmi) is also a director in the same Laboratory. One fine day Maya is murdered under mysterious circumstances as her body goes missing from the forensic lab after a police investigation. Puri is the prime suspect in the investigation but without the body, the police investigation comes to a standstill. How does the police proceed further, will Maya’s husband go to jail or let free, is Maya really dead, who is behind the murder and missing body, all the answers are revealed in the climax of this edge-of-the-seat thriller.
