The Hero: Love Story of a Spy is an action thriller drama. The movie revolves around Arun Khanna (Sunny Deol), an army intelligent officer working for RAW, who has been sent to Indo-Pakistani border in Kashmir to obtain information about Pakistani terrorist activities near the border. He meets Reshma (Priety Zinta), a resident of a nearby village, who offers to help him on the mission. After the success of the mission, Arun proposes Reshma and the two get engaged, but the engagement ceremony is cut short by a terrorist attack and Reshma goes missing after the attack. Arun vows to punish the perpetrators. He poses as a nuclear scientist to be a part of the terrorist group and to know their plans. Will Arun succeed this time?
