Wake Up Sid is a coming-of-age romantic drama. It revolves around a Mumbai-based carefree university student, Siddharth ‘Sid’ Mehra (Ranbir Kapoor), who doesn’t know what he wants to pursue. He learns that he failed his exams while all his classmates, including his friends, aced the exams. Due to the frustration, Sid gets angry at his parents and decides to move out. He moves in with Aisha, an aspiring writer who works with a magazine named 'Mumbai Beat'. Aisha helps Sid to get a job as an intern photographer at Mumbai Beat. Sid finally realizes the importance of responsibility and reconciles with his parents. Sid and Aisha secretly fall in love, but will these lovers finally express their feelings and unite?
