Yugandhar is an action crime drama. The movie follows the story of a man named Krishna alias Kishen Daku (Mithun Chakraborty), who becomes the hero or Robin Hood figure for the poor people of his village, who are exploited by the rich landlords of the village and treated as the outcast by the government. With the support of poor villagers, Kishen Daku becomes powerful and also a concern for the politicians and government employees. It is then that a corrupt collector (Dalip Tahil) brings an honest officer Col. Kanir (Kabir Bedi) to arrest Kishen and bring an end to his reign. Will Kanir be able to realize the truth and help Kishen after learning his true story?
