Mangal Dhillon was an actor, writer, director and producer who was active in Punjabi as well as Hindi film industry. Born in Wander Jatana, Faridkot district, Punjab in 1958, Mangal Dhillon after completing his post-graduate diploma course in acting joined theatre and thereafter featured in TV serials like Katha Sagar, Buniyaad, Junoon, Kismat, and Param Vir Chakra. He made his Bollywood acting debut in 1988 in Rakesh Roshan’s Khoon Bhari Maang and later played supporting villain roles in movies like Dayavan, Bhrashtachar, Amba, Pyar Ka Devta, Akayla, Zindagi Ek Juaa, Yugandhar, Dalaal, etc. He breathed his last on 11 June 2023 after battling cancer at a local hospital in Ludhiana, Punjab.
