Lakshmanrekha is an action drama. The movie follows the story of two friends - Amar Sharma (Naseeruddin Shah), a police officer, and Vicky (Jackie Shroff), a criminal who has no respect for law. Things take a turn for Amar, when his father is killed by Birju (Danny Denzongpa), a powerful criminal, and he is unable to imprison him due to lack of evidence. Amar decides to take law in his hands and kill Birju anyhow and set the score right. However, he is stopped by Vicky, who is now a police officer and won’t let his friend do it the wrong way. Will Vicky be able to help Amar to get justice legally?
