Akhil Mishra was a film and television actor, writer and producer who made his acting debut in the 1983 film Dhat Tere... Kiand later went on to play supporting roles in films including Kamla Ki Maut, Hamari Shaadi, Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin, Kareeb, Gandhi, My Father, Well Done Abba and Mere Dost Picture Abhi Baaki Hai. He is most remembered for playing the role of a librarian in 3 Idiots. Some of his memorable television serials were Bharat Ek Khoj, Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn, Shrimaan Shrimati, CID, Uttaran and Bhanwar. He breathed his last on 21 September 2023.
