Sonali Bendre is an Indian actress and model, who was active in Indian cinema in the late 1990s and 2000s. She made her Bollywood debut with the 1994 film Aag, directed by K. Ravi Shankar. Her role in the movie won her Filmfare Award for Lux New Face of the Year. The movie that gave her fame was the 1996 romantic drama Diljale, directed by Harry Baweja. Other important movies of her career include Duplicate (1998), Hum Saath Saath Hain (1999), Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain (2000), Chal Mere Bhai (2000), Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega (2001), etc. In 2002, she married Indian filmmaker and entrepreneur Goldie Behl and the couple has a son named Ranveer.
