Aiyaary is an action thriller story inspired by the Adarsh Housing Society scam which was based upon the Czech arms deal that was proposed to the Indian army by another retired army personnel who had his own arms manufacturing set up in London. After the army refuses the deal, a special operations unit of the Indian army called DSD (Data Systems Diagnostics) managed by Colonel Abhay Singh (Manoj Bajpai) and Major Jai Bakshi (Sidharth Malhotra) get into action to expose the culprits behind it along with other personnels who were to receive kickbacks in the form of a flat each in the proposed Adarsh Housing Society.
