Angaar is an action crime drama. The movie revolves around a slum dweller named Jaikishan ‘Jaggu’ (Jackie Shroff), who lives with his parents in a chawl. He is often considered to be the trouble maker but has a heart of gold and is always ready to help those in need. One day, a builder named Majid Khan (Nana Patekar), who is also the estranged son of the mafia kingpin of the city Jahangir Khan (Kader Khan), comes to visit the chawl and gets interested in the land. He plans to construct the building on the chawl, but his plan doesn’t go well with Jaggu and the residents in the chawl. He tries to buy them and also manipulate them, but nothing works. Thus, finally he gets their leader Jaggu arrested for false charges to scare them off. However, will this be enough for him to clear his way?
