Bala is comedy-drama which deals with the age-old issue of premature balding where Bala (Ayushmann Khurrana), a young marketer who once upon a time was known for his voluminous, lustrous hair, realizes that he is suffering from premature balding. His confidence level deteriorates when he is rejected by prospective brides and people making fun of him. Bala tries to cope up with the situation and follows every bizarre advice that comes his way to grow his hair back. Bala dons a wig to impress a girl but fails to admit the reality until his wedding night. How Bala goes about handling this odd situation in his life and how he overcomes it, forms the latter part of this unique tale.
