Chala Mussaddi: Office Office is a satirical drama based on the TV serial of the same title and cast. The movie revolves around a retired schoolmaster Mussaddi Lal Tripathi (Pankaj Kapur), a common man, who sets out for the pilgrimage to the four Holy sites for the immersion of his wife’s ashes. In his absence, the pension officer arrives and due to some confusion reports him to be dead. On his return, Mussaddi Lal is shocked to learn that he is dead according to the Government Files. He decides to revolt against the system and anyhow proves that he is alive, so he can still get the pension. Does Mussaddi succeed in proving his existence or his fight turns futile against the corrupt system?
