Wife of actor Jackie Shroff and mother of Tiger Shroff, Ayesha Dutt is an Indian film producer, former model and actress. She started her acting career in 1984 and made her Bollywood debut in Umesh Mehra’s Teri Baahon Mein opposite Mohnish Bahl. However, this was her first and last movie as an actress. In 1987, she married her long-time boyfriend, actor Jackie Shroff and completely vanished from the silver screen. In 2000, she ventured into film production and produced movies like Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hain (2000), Grahan (2001), Sandhya (2003), etc.

2. Jyotsna Singh - Vishwatma (1992)

Jyotsna Singh is an Indian actress and beautician and the sister of beautician Kitty Malhan, who is the co-owner of the ‘K & J Beauty Salon’, along with her sister, which is based in Delhi. She auditioned for Yalgaar (1992), but couldn’t land the role in the movie. She then made her screen debut with Rajiv Rai’s 1992 action thriller film Vishwatma, co-starring Naseeruddin Shah, Sunny Deol and Chunky Pandey. However, this was the only film she has acted in, as she later vanished away from Bollywood.

3. Malini Sharma - Raaz (2002)

The Indian actress and model, Malini Sharma who started her career as a model went on to appear in famous music videos, like ‘Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag’, ‘Kya Soorat Hai’, etc. She was married to actor Priyanshu Chatterjee, but the two divorced in 2001. Later, she started her acting career with television serials. In 2002, she made her Bollywood debut with the supernatural horror drama Raaz directed by Vikram Bhatt, co-starring Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea. However, she decided to quit Bollywood.

4. Gayatri Joshi - Swades (2004)

The Indian actress and former model, Gayatri Joshi started her career as a video jockey on Channel V India, and soon after participated in a beauty pageant show, and also represented the 2000 Miss International event in Japan. She has appeared in several music videos and advertisements since then. In 2004, she made her acting debut with Ashutosh Gowariker’s 2004 film Swades, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Despite the praises from the critics and audiences, Gayatri Joshi took a back step from acting and the following year married Vikas Oberoi, a promoter of Oberoi Construction, and thus she made her way to the list of Bollywood actors who disappeared after a hit.

5. Vipasha Agarwal - I See You (2006)

Vipasha Agarwal is an Indian actress and model, who has predominantly worked in the Bollywood film industry. She made her Bollywood debut with Vivek Agarwal’s 2006 romantic drama I See You, in which she played the lead alongside Arjun Rampal. Despite her big break in Bollywood, this proved to be her first and last movie in the Hindi film industry, after which she completely disappeared from Bollywood.

6. Trisha Krishnan - Khatta Meetha (2010)

Trisha Krishnan Iyer is an Indian actress and model, who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi films. She started her career with modelling and became noticeable after winning Miss Chennai in 1999. Often referred to as the queen of South India, the actress started her career with the 1999 Tamil film Jodi. Later, she appeared in a series of South Indian movies before making her debut in Bollywood in 2010 political satire Khatta Meetha, alongside Akshay Kumar, for which she was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. This has been her first and only film in Bollywood, as she continues to only appear in South Indian films and made her way to the list of Bollywood actors who disappeared after a successful movie.

7. Pooja Salvi - Nautanki Saala (2013)

Actress and model, Pooja Salvi started her career with modeling, and modeled for a number of Indian brands. She has also shared the screen with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in a commercial for LUX. She made her screen debut with Rohan Sippy’s 2013 comedy romantic drama Nautanki Saala, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Kunaal Roy Kapoor. Unfortunately, this was her first and last film in the Hindi film industry.

8. Mannara Chopra - Zid (2014)

The first cousin of Bollywood actresses Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra, Mannara Chopra is an Indian actress and model, who has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. After completing her education, Mannara started her career in modelling and went on to model in the commercials of a number of brands. She ventured into acting in 2014, and made her debut with the 2014 Telugu film Prema Geema Jantha Nai. In the same year, she made her screen debut in Bollywood with Vivek Agnihotri’s erotic thriller film Zid, co-starring Karanvir Sharma and Shraddha Das. Later, she shifted her focus to South Indian films and vanished from Bollywood.

9. Deeksha Seth - Lekar Hum Deewana Dil (2014)

The Indian actress and model, Deeksha Seth started her career in modelling soon after her graduation. She became the finalist in 2009 Femina Miss India which was a kick start to her career. During one of her modelling assignments, she was spotted by a casting director, and was offered her first Telugu film Vedam (2010). It was followed by several Telugu and Tamil-language movies, before she made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with the romantic comedy drama Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, alongside Armaan Jain. However, this is her one and only Bollywood film since then.

10. Akanksha Puri – Calendar Girls (2015)

Akanksha Puri who made a splash by making her Bollywood debut in Madhur Bhandarkar's 2015 drama film Calendar Girls which was also the launch pad for other actresses. Though Calendar Girls didn’t rake in the expected moolah but debuting in a Madhur Bhandarkar film is no less an achievement. Akanksha was already a model and had appeared in the Tamil hit Alex Pandian in 2013 which featured Karthi and Anushka Shetty in the lead. She had also done Praise the Lord in Malayalam and Lodde in Kannada in 2014 and 2015, respectively. She later was cast as Mata AdiParashakti in the TV serial Vighnaharta Ganesha and later appeared as a contestant in Swayamvar – Mika Di Vohti in 2022.

11. Sayyeshaa Saigal - Shivaay (2016)

Daughter of former Indian actors Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu, Sayyeshaa Saigal is the grandniece of Saira Banu. She is an Indian actress who started her acting career with the 2015 Telugu film Akhil, for which she was nominated in SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut in Telugu Film. In 2016, she made her Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgn’s action thriller drama Shivaay. Later, she shifted her focus to Tamil films and went on to act in a series of Tamil movies like Vanamagan (2017), Kadaikutty (2018), Kaappaan (2019), etc. In March 2019, she married Tamil actor Arya who had co-stared in the films Ghajinikanth, Kaappaan and Teddy. After her marriage she bid good bye to films.

12. Nidhhi Agerwal - Munna Michael (2017)

Nidhhi Agerwal is an Indian actress who has worked in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi films. She made her acting debut in Bollywood with the 2017 film Munna Michael, alongside Tiger Shroff. In the following year, she made her debut in Telugu cinema with the 2018 film Savyasachi, since then she had been active in the South Indian film industry. Thus, Munna Michael has been her one and only film in Bollywood.

13. Tina Ahuja – Second Hand Husband (2015)

Actor Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja also joins the list of lead actresses who disappeared after their debut film. Tina Ahuja had a decent launch to her Bollywood acting career in director Smeep Knag’s romantic drama comedy Second Hand Husband which also featured Dharmendra, Rati Agnihotri, Gippy Grewal, Geeta Basra Vijay Raaz, Mukesh Tiwari, Supriya Karnik, Alok Nath and Ravi Kishan, but the film sank without a trace. The film remains the actress's only release to date.

14. Dipika Kakar - Paltan (2018)

The famous Indian television and film actress Dipika Kakar Ibrahim is best known for her works in the television serial Sasural Simar Ka. She started her career as an Air Hostess, and later started her career as an actress with the 2010 television serial Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi. After working on television for several years, she made her screen debut with the 2018 war action drama Paltan that was directed by J.P. Dutta, in which she played the fiancée of Capt. Prithvi Singh (Gurmeet Choudhary).
