Eldest son of film producer Surinder Kapoor, Achal Surinder Kapoor, popularly known as Boney Kapoor, is an Indian film producer who has produced numerous Bollywood films. He made his debut in Bollywood with the 1980 action drama Hum Paanch. Some famous movies produced by him include Mr. India (1987), Judaai (1997), Pukar (2000), Khushi (2003), No Entry (2005), Wanted (2009), Milenge Milenge (2010), Tevar (2015), Mom (2017) and many more. In 1983, he married film producer Mona Shourie Kapoor, with whom he has two children, including actor Arjun Kapoor. The two separated in 1996, and the same year he got married to Sridevi, with whom he has two daughters, including actress Janhvi Kapoor.
