Sunil Babu was a well-known art director and production designer who predominantly worked in the Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and the Hindi film industries. He was known for his work on Malayalam films like Bangalore Days, and Sita Ramam and Bollywood movies Tahaan, Ghajini, Paa, I.D., Special 26, Ramaiya Vastavaiya, Singh Is Bliing, and M. S. Dhoni: The Untold Story. He had won the State Film Award for Best Art Director for the film Anantabhadra (2005). He died of a heart attack in Ernakulam, Kerala on 05 January 2023.
