Deewana is an action crime drama. The movie revolves around a young beautiful girl named Kajal (Divya Bharti), who falls in love with a successful singer named Ravi (Rishi Kapoor). Ravi’s greedy uncle and cousin want his property and money, and thus plan to get him killed, and eventually succeed in their mission. Saddened by Ravi’s death, Kajal moves to another city with Ravi’s mother Laxmi. There she meets Raja (Shah Rukh Khan), who falls in love with Kajal, but Kajal is not interested in him. After the persuasion of Laxmi, Kajal marries Raja and eventually falls in love with him. Things take a turn, when Kajal finds out that Ravi is still alive. The question remains, whom will Kajal choose?
