Farz is an action thriller drama. The city of Mumbai is under the threat, as the terror of two dreaded criminals, Gawa Firozi (Jackie Shroff) and Sikander (Mukesh Tiwari), continues to increase. ACP Arjun Singh (Om Puri) and his brother-in-law Tayaji (Dara Singh) work in the crime branch to fight against these criminals. However, Tayaji gets killed during one of Gawa’s attacks, which leaves ACP Arjun devastated. While mourning his partner’s death, Arjun Singh learns that a new officer, ACP Karan Singh (Sunny Deol), has joined the department, and is his new partner on his mission against Gawa and his forces. Arjun and Karan’s methods are different, which becomes a cause of disagreement between the two. To add insult to the injury, Arjun’s daughter Kajal (Preity Zinta) falls in love with Karan. Will Arjun be able to rise above all and accept Karan, and join hands with him to fight back the criminals?
