Dara Singh was an Indian professional wrestler, politician, actor, producer, and director. He has worked as an actor, director, and producer in Hindi and Punjabi films and television shows. He made his screen debut with the 1952 film Sangdil. He mostly appeared in character and supporting roles in the movies. He has acted in movies like Sher Dil (1965), Daku Mangal Singh (1966), Choron Ka Chor (1970), Mera Naam Joker (1970), Anand (1971), Dharmatma (1975), Bajrangbali (1976), Mard (1985), Ajooba (1991) and many more. Dara Singh married twice. He was first married to Bachno Kaur, from 1942 to 1952. In 1961, he married Surjit Kaur. He had 6 children, including actor Vindu Dara Singh, from his two wives.
