Jaal: The Trap is an action-thriller drama. The story revolves around Ajay Kaul (Sunny Deol), son of Major Amrish Kaul (Amrish Puri) and Sudha (Farida Jalal). Ajay accidentally meets a young widow named Neha Pandit (Tabu), and falls in love with her. However, things take a turn when Neha is kidnapped by a group of terrorists headed by Junaid Afghani (Mukesh Rishi), who demands the release of terrorist Naved Rabhani. They demand Anita Chaudhary (Reema Sen), the daughter of the home minister, in exchange for Neha. Ajay decides to abduct Anita, who is under the protection of Major Amrish Kaul. However, he realises things aren’t the way they seem to be, and thus decides to make everything right. With everyone against him, will Ajay succeed in his mission?
