Jeene Do is an action romantic drama. The movie is set in a village that is under the control of Thakur Sher Bahadur Singh (Amrish Puri), who makes people work as his laborers to repay the loan they took years ago, which keeps increasing with the ballooning interest charges. A man named Hardayal opposes Thakur’s practices, but things take a turn when Thakur lends him a loan for the education of his son Suraj (Jackie Shroff). Hardayal is now grateful to Thakur, but little does he know that Thakur has his own plans. While Suraj is away, Thakur exploits his father and his brother Karamveer (Sanjay Dutt), who are surviving on the hope that one day Suraj will return and make everything right.
