Nasihat is an action drama. The movie follows the story of a young woman named Indrani (Tanuja), daughter of a wealthy business tycoon, Ratanlal (Satyendra Kapoor), who falls in love with an ordinary man, Dinesh (Dinesh Thakur), but her father doesn’t approve the match. This creates the rift between the father and daughter, and their servant Mohanlal (Kader Khan) takes advantage of the situation, and ruins many lives. Later, Indrani is forced to marry Mohanlal, and the two become parents of Randhir (Mithun Chakraborty), who is the total opposite of his father, and helps everyone in need. It is still to be found, how Randhir reacts when he learns about the ill-doings of his father?
