Deepti Naval is an actress, director, and writer. She started her acting career with the 1978 Bollywood movie Junoon, produced by Shashi Kapoor and directed by Shyam Benegal. Other important movies of her acting career are Chashme Buddoor (1981), Shriman Shrimati (1982), Kissi Se Na Kehna (1983), Nasihat (1986), Main Zinda Hoon (1988), and Ghar Ho To Aisa (1990). She was married to the filmmaker Prakash Jha and has an adopted daughter by the name of Disha Jha.
