Rang Birangi is a family comedy drama. The movie follows the story of a young couple named Nirmala (Parveen Babi) and Ajay (Amol Palekar), who have been married for quite some time. However, Nirmala feels that the spark in their marriage has gone away, and the two are together for the sake of being together. It is then Nirmala’s brother attempts to rekindle the spark by making up the stories about extra marital affairs of Ajay. However, it is to be found whether these stories bring Ajay and Nirmala closer or lead to their separation.
