Nikaah is a romantic social drama. The movie follows the story of a young woman named Nilofer (Salma Agha), who is friends with her college mates, Afaque (Raj Babbar) and Saif (Asrani), while Afaque is secretly in love with Nilofer. He is heartbroken when Nilofer gets married to Nawab Wasim (Deepak Parashar). However, Wasim is a workaholic and self-centered man, which becomes the reason for the rifts in Wasim and Nilofer’s wedding that ends in a divorce. After the separation from her husband, Nilofer starts working in Afaque’s company, and start getting close to the latter. It is then Nawab Wasim returns in Nilofer’s life with a proposal to get back. Whom does Nilofer choose, Wasim or Afaque?
