Samundar is a romantic action crime drama. The movie revolves around Ajit (Sunny Deol), the only son of an honest police officer Surajbhan (Navin Nischol). Ajit becomes an orphan after the death of his father, and grows up under the care of a gangster named Raiszada (Amrish Puri), and has only one mission to locate the killer of his father. However, little does he know that the killer is no other than his care taken Raiszada, who got Surajbhan killed for his benefit. Will Ajit ever realise the truth? Will he be able to set scores right with the murderer of his father?
