He made his screen debut in 2005 with Imtiaz Ali’s romantic comedy-drama Socha Na Tha. He rose to fame with movies like Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye (2008), Dev.D (2009), Aisha (2010), Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011), Raanjhanaa (2013), Happy Bhag Jayegi (2016), etc.
