Dil Hi Toh Hai is a romantic drama. The movie revolves around twin brothers - Harshvardhan and Govardhan (dual role by Jackie Shroff), the sons of King Vikram Singh (Amjad Khan) of Vikramgarh. As Harshvardhan is smarter, he is regarded to be the future king of the town, and is trained all the time for his duties, while Govardhan gets to enjoy his life. However, one day, the two brothers decide to take each other’s place. So Harshvardhan travels to Mumbai, while Govardhan returns to the kingdom. In Mumbai, Harshvardhan falls in love with a pretty girl named Bharathi (Divya Bharti), which makes him the enemy of the criminal, Jack (Gulshan Grover), who wants Bharathi for himself. Will Harshvardhan be able to fight against Jack? What will happen when his strict father gets to know about his actions?
