Popularly known as ‘Sufi Ki Sultana’, the Indian playback singer Harshdeep Kaur is famous for her soulful Sufi renditions. Kaur established her career in Bollywood at a very young age, when she was just 16, she recorded her first Bollywood song ‘Sajna Main Haari’ from Aapko Pehle Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai (2003). She is one of the few Indian singers who have also recorded songs for Hollywood movies, and has worked with the Oscar-winning director Danny Boyle. Some of her superhit songs from Bollywood include ‘Katiya Karun’ from Rockstar (2011), ‘Heer’ from Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012), ‘Kabira’ from Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (2013), ‘Zaalima’ from Raees (2017), ‘Dilbaro’ from Raazi (2018), and many more. In 2015, she married her childhood friend Mankeet Singh in a traditional Sikh wedding ceremony, and the couple’s first child was born in 2021.
