She made her screen debut in Bollywood with O. P. Ralhan’s comedy-thriller Hulchul in 1971 alongside Prem Chopra, Helen, Madan Puri, and Kabir Bedi. In the same year, she appeared in a comedy drama Hungama, alongside superstars Vinod Khanna and Kishore Kumar.
