Peter Pereira was a veteran cinematographer and special effects provider who primarily worked in Hindi films. Born in 1929, Peter Pereira started his Bollywood journey by joining Basant Studio as an apprentice which was owned by filmmaker Homi Wadia. His first film as independent cameraman was Parasmani in 1963. He thereafter went on to handle the cinematography of popular films like Sachaa Jhutha, Khote Sikkay, Amar Akbar Anthony, Kasme Vaade, Yaarana, Mr. India and Shahenshah. He breathed his last in Mumbai at the age of 93.
