Ronit Roy is an Indian actor, who is known for his works in Hindi films and television serials. He started his acting career in Bollywood with the 1992 commercially successful movie Jaan Tere Naam, alongside Farheen, which was followed by Bomb Blast (1993), Hulchul (1995), Rock Dancer (1995), Jurmana (1996), etc. Due to lack of good film offers, Ronit Roy shifted his focus to television, and appeared in several television serials of Balaji Telefilms. His critically acclaimed role in the 2010 coming-of-age film Udaan helped him to re-establish his career in Bollywood. Other important movies of his career include That Girl in Yellow Boots (2010), Student of the Year (2012), Shootout at Wadala (2013), Ugly (2013), 2 States (2014), Kaabil (2017), Machine (2017), etc. In 2003, he married Joanna Neelam Roy and the couple has 3 children.
