Legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra was a writer, director, producer, and presenter who was primarily known for his work in Bollywood. Founder of Yashraj Films, he was credited for several blockbuster films who was known as the ‘King of Romance’ who redefined the magic of romance on screen in his own unique style. With over 20 directorial and 40 productions to his credit, he was honoured with many prestigious awards including the Padma Bhushan, Dada Saheb Phalke Award, BAFTA, IIFA, and Filmfare award for ‘Best Director’, etc. He was married to playback singer Pamela Chopra, while his sons Aditya Chopra is a producer and director and younger son Uday Chopra is a producer and actor. Yash Chopra is the youngest brother of filmmaker B.R. Chopra and cameraman Dharam Chopra while filmmaker Ravi Chopra is his nephew. His daughter-in-law is Rani Mukerji who is married to his eldest son Aditya Chopra.
