Rekha Bhardwaj is an Indian singer and live performer, who is the recipient of Filmfare and National Film Awards. She was initially trained by her older sister, and later went on to get the formal training. She made her debut as a playback singer in Bollywood with the 1997 film Chachi 420, in which she recorded ‘Ek Woh Din Bhi’. She has worked in many movies as a playback singer, including Makdee (2002), Omkara (2006), Delhi-6 (2009), Kaminey (2009), Ishqiya (2010), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), Dedh Ishqiya (2013), D-Day (2013), Haider (2014), Bajrangi Bhaijaan (2015), Pataakha (2018), Angrezi Medium (2020), Hum Do Humare Do (2021) and many more. In 1991, she married notable film director, music composer and playback singer Vishal Bhardwaj.
