A. R. Rahman is probably the most renowned Indian music director known the world over. Nicknamed "The Mozart of Madras" and "Isai Puyal" by his fans, Rahman started his musical journey by composing jingles and playing the keyboard for various Kollywood musicians before getting his big break in Mani Ratnam’s Tamil hit Roja in 1992 which went on to break records. With almost every musical award under his belt, he made his Bollywood entry with Rangeela in 1995 and went on to compose music for films like Dil Se…, Taal, Bombay, Daud, Lagaan, Swades, Rang De Basanti, Jodhaa Akbar, Rockstar, Raavan and 2.0.
